  1. MISSING NAV-AIDS SCENERY FOR NORTHERN PACIFIC AND JAPAN FS5.1 DEFAULT SCENERY 
  2. VERSION 1.0

  6. The default Fs5.1 world scenery is including a lot of airports and a lot
  7. of navigational aids.
  8. But most of the navaids (VOR and NDB) are still missing.
  9.  
  10. With the help of JEPPESEN, the biggest company specialized in distributing
  11. navigational data, I started making scenery files containing ONLY the missing
  12. VOR's and NDB's in the fs5.1 world.
  13. JEPPESEN exclusively provided me with the needed data files under the
  14. restriction that the data would only be used for non commercial scenery's
  15. for PC flightsimulation. (The database is dated February 1995)
  16. So take the copyright instruction included to the files very serious: in that
  17. way we can keep Jeppesens permission to use the database.

  19. This release is covering the northern PACIFIC.
  20. As the area coverage is not clear to everybody I will list the included 
  21. Countries here:

  42. Just copy the file PACNAV.BGL to your favorite homerbrew scenery directory and 
  43. if you don't use the Japan add on scenery disk you should also copy JAPANAV.bgl
  44. to that place.

  48. I used SCASM vers. 1.27 to compile the stuff. Thanks to Manfred Moldenhauer!
  49. I used the file NAV.ZIP from Phil Saitta (MicroSoft) to exclude the in FS5.1
  50. included nav-aids. 
  51. NAV.ZIP includes the FS5.1 nav-aid information.

  53. IMPORTANT:
  54. I did a quick test on this stuff and all seems to work fine.
  55. Testing, locating and checking all included nav-aids would take a LOT
  56. of time.
  57. That's why I am asking YOU to test the file and to report me:
  58. -if you are missing nav-aids
  59. -if you find double nav-aids
  60. -if you encounter database errors
  61. -if you have suggestions for enhancements
  62. -if you know the correct fs5.1 magn.deviation around the world.....
